In Gratitude: A Tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire pays homage to one of the most prolific musical ensembles in history. With an impressive repertoire of EWF tunes, the 14 piece band transports audiences to an era gone by. Since 2009, In Gratitude has packed and sold out intimate indoor and expansive outdoor venues including Rams Head on Stage, Annapolis, MD; The Birchmere, Alexandria, VA; The Hamilton, Washington, DC; Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club, Bethesda, MD; Tally Ho, Leesburg, VA; The Avalon, Easton, MD;  Great Neck Park, White Plains, NY; Fort Dupont in Washington, DC… .

In Gratitude has brought together the best musicians in the Baltimore/DC/Virginia area under the direction of co-founders Gene McBride, Gary and Greg Grainger, and Robert “WaWa” LeGrand, each with their own careers performing and recording with Whitney Houston, George Clinton, Teddy Pendergrass, Phyllis Hyman, Acoustic Alchemy, Nancy Wilson, and more; each motivated to share the EWF experience with audiences everywhere. Other members of In Gratitude have performed regularly with Prince, Bootsy Collins, Chuck Brown, Arturo Sandoval, Dianne Reeves, Mya, the Jazz Ambassadors US Army Field Band and others.


That’s the Way of the World, Devotion, Can’t Hide Love, Reasons, Shining Star, Serpentine Fire, September, Let’s Groove Tonight, Love’s Holiday… audiences love hearing their favorite tune during an In Gratitude show. With great attention to the musical and vocal arrangements, In Gratitude never fails to deliver a hand clapping, head bouncing, on your feet, lights, camera, action production every time–on stage and in the aisles.

In Gratitude released its first original song, Message in the Music, in January 2016. Co-written and arranged by members of the band, the song has been selling well and receiving airplay on local radio stations over the past several months. Message in the Music is available on CD Baby at
