The The Gold Heart Sisters tour extensively and perform as a quintet with their father, Trent on bass along with some of the best banjoists in the business. The sisters have enjoyed sharing their music since their formation in 2005.
Highlights include a major international tour of the United Kingdom, performances in 23 US States and multiple appearances in Canada. The Gold Heart Sisters were also invited to perform as a 2009 IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Official Showcase Band in Nashville, Tennessee.
These brilliant young artists are expert songwriters, who wrote 9 of the 12 songs on their album, “MY SISTERS AND ME”. Jocelyn pens the majority of the band’s impressive material and was one of three finalists in the 2008 Chris Austin Songwriters Competition (bluegrass category) at MerleFest. Shelby has also become quite the songwriter.
“MY SISTERS AND ME” was released August 25, 2009 on the Nashville based Rural Rhythm Records label. The album was produced by Justin Carbone, (formerly with Special Consensus).
Currently, the The Gold Heart Sisters are hard at work crafting their 4th project, also on Rural Rhythm Records.
The Gold Heart Sisters is a tight group that will astonish you from the first note to the last. They have set high standards and this band won’t disappoint.
