I’ve performed at numerous venues in the United States, Canada and Scotland. As a competitive player, I am currently in the grade 1 solo level and a member of the City of Washington Pipe Band, one of four grade 1 pipe bands in the United States. Duncan played our family reunion in front of 95 Irish family members. I do not think he knew the audience would be so large and included two professional musicians. My husband and I are so happy we chose Duncan to pipe at our wedding ceremony! Duncan played the recessional music, which was a surprise for our guests. After the minister pronounced us husband and wife, Duncan led us down the aisle while he played “The Wearing of the Green”. He dressed in full Scottish regalia and entertained the guests outside the church following the ceremony. Having a bagpiper at the wedding was such a unique way to celebrate, and Duncan was so great to work with!
