About the Artist

String Along is an experienced and established ensemble. We have been consistently selected as Washington’s Top Ensemble by the Washingtonian Magazine and by The Knot Best of Weddings Magazine. Quality, exceptional musicianship, professionalism, and personalized service has made this string quartet the finest in our nation’s capital. Our immense repertoire features hours of classical favorites, popular tunes, jazz standards, tangos, waltzes, salsa, rock & roll and much more!

String Along is a traditional string quartet composed of two violins, viola, and cello. Since 1989, the group has performed for the most prestigious events in Washington, including state dinners, the presidential inauguration, embassy functions, national service award ceremonies, academic award presentations, charity functions, and over a thousand weddings.

We really enjoyed working with Bialek’s Music to make our wedding day extra special on November 1, 2020. It’s basically a one stop shop for everything you’d need for your wedding day. Robin Shaikun is such a pleasure to work with and she helped us plan out who and what we needed, and when. We ended up booking our DJ, string trio, photobooth, mics during the ceremony and uplights for the reception through Bialek’s Music. Once you get closer to your event date, you’re assigned local professionals in the requested field you asked for and we were so happy with everyone we worked with!

Our guests especially loved DJ AA Rock! He was able to read the crowd perfectly and kept them dancing all night! We also appreciated how he made a special mix for our father/daughter dance. String Along Strings added beautiful live music to our ceremony and cocktail hour. Chris Bruno worked with me to get our wedding invitation graphic onto our photobooth strip design too! It was such a helpful and outstanding team with work with!

Our event last night was so special, in part because of Fred and the other musicians. They were an absolute pleasure to work with – so easy going, adaptable to our needs, and delivered on every song request made (and then some!). At one point, I saw our President and host of the evening signing along to “We Are The Champions” onstage – a tell-tale sign they really hit the mark! I will definitely be reaching out again for future events and strongly recommend Fred and the other musicians for other elegant, corporate events. Awesome Experience with Bialek's Music

We had a great experience with Bialek's Music. We first talked with Chris to figure out what we wanted for our big day. He was super responsive and helpful as he walked us through all of the options they have to offer for the ceremony and reception.

We were lucky enough to book String Along Duo for our ceremony. They are super talented musicians and their playlist is expansive. They played the songs we selected for our processional and they even secretly worked with our officiant to play music during the ceremony while she read a poem which was a beautiful surprise.

The String Along trio did a fantastic job as our ceremony & cocktail hour musicians. They have an extensive list of songs to choose from. Plus, if you need them to learn a song, they will do so for a very reasonable rate. Fred even noticed a discrepancy in our timeline and helped us work it out with no stress. I definitely recommend them as they were professional, easy to work with, and sounded great!
