Grant Kuhnsman, who performs as DJ ARIA, is a critically acclaimed, award-winning DJ from Washington, DC. He began creating mixtapes and curating his music collection at a young age. By his teenage years, he was introduced to the turntable and learned how to beatmatch by ear with vinyl. These humble beginnings expanded to include rocking house parties with whatever gear was available while in college. There he developed his ability to read dynamic, live crowds in high energy environments and respond with musical selections that would excite. Since then he has sharpened his skills and proven himself as a bona fide Open Format DJ that has performed at numerous venues across DC, Maryland, and Virginia (The DMV) logging over 500 wedding receptions, corporate events and private parties in his career. He has also performed at fashion shows, sporting events, fundraisers and international galas. Many of his bookings are referrals from past clients or guests at an event where he performed.

His open format style is versatile, yet familiar as he is comfortable mixing Top 40/Pop, House, Electronic, Hip-Hop, R&B, Throwbacks and International music. In addition, as a member of the elite Club Killers Crew, International DJ Alliance, his sets include feel-good tracks, exclusive remixes and mash-ups produced live. As a true performance DJ, his sound is musical with active transitions in and out of songs for a high-energy live mix. Today, he is regularly booked at DC Metro area venues, travels to perform at special events and hosts the open format radio mix show, PLAY Radio.

He was selected as the feature DJ for Season 10 of Lifetime’s hit reality-TV show, Married At First Sight. He is distinguished as a resident DJ with several Mid-Atlantic hospitality organizations and was voted “Best Nightlife DJ” at James Madison University, his alma mater. He is the preferred DJ of choice for luxury event planners and designers in the Washington DC Metro area.
