HARPIST ERIN

Erin has her BM and Performer’s Certificate from SUNY Fredonia. She was awarded first prize in the Fredonia School of Music concerto competition in 2016. She followed her undergrad studies with a Master’s in Harp Performance and Pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. Her masterclass and private instruction teachers include Suzanne Thomas, Dan Yu, Sivan Magen, Sonja Inglefield, and Ruth Inglefield.
In 2017 she had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong for the World Harp Congress, where she was a featured performer — in the USA International Harp Composition Contest Favorites concert, as part of the prize-winning Dimensions multi-media project, and as one of the participants chosen for Mock Audition Seminars.
Erin focused on her orchestral skills during two years as Principal Harpist in Maestra Marin Alsop’s select training conductor’s orchestra, while concurrently filling the same position in regular rotations with Peabody’s several orchestras playing under the baton of Leonard Slatkin, Marin Alsop, and Leon Fleisher amongst others.
She enjoys music of all periods and genres. In 2019 she was a chosen presenter for the USA International Harp Ruth Inglefield Composition Contest Forum, where she performed the finalist piece “Cogitation” by composer/harpist Natalie Wong. She also enjoys performing and arranging pop music covers by artists such as Lake Street Dive, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Beyoncé.
In addition to her busy performance schedule, Erin is on the faculties of the Baltimore School for the Arts TWIGS preparatory program and the Baltimore Symphony Orchkids.
