HARPIST MELODY

Melody is a professional, classically trained harpist with over 20 years of experience playing diverse repertoire while sharing her passion for music. Fun fact, she played her first wedding at the age of 11! Melody has her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from Peabody Conservatory, where she studied with Ruth Inglefield. She has performed on multiple international stages; on tour with the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra in Bulgaria, and premiered contemporary harp works at the World Harp Congress in Hong Kong (2017). She has studied and taken masterclasses with world renowned harpists, including Judy Loman, Yolanda Kondanassis, and Susann Mcdonald.

Melody plays in the Northern Virginia and greater D.C. area, and specializes in weddings, private events, performances, and recordings. She aims to bring all the nuance of her classical training to any event, creating the right tone and story for each client and every listener. Programming a curated and tailored program for weddings is one of her favorite parts, and loves arranging songs that are meaningful or evoke a cherished memory.
