Merlot Jazz is a guitar-fronted jazz group comprised of seasoned, creative players from the DMV with a focus on providing the best for their clients. Not just background jazz, but innovative improvisation including parts of R&B, funk, soul, and rock at a level appropriate for the event.
If the music has to fade into the background or be up front and moving, Merlot can pick their way though the best of the old and new for a perfect jazz experience.

Amazingly Fun Night!
We booked with Bialek Music for our wedding cocktail hour music and the reception and we couldn't have been happier with both groups! For the cocktail hour, we had Merlot jazz trio that added a perfect touch to our venue and welcomed our guests to the night. A few weeks before the big day we sent them our music preferences and they totally nailed it! They did a mix of jazz, Motown, and some modern songs in a jazz flavor. It was exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend them for your next event!!

We hired Merlot Jazz quartet for our Comapny Party. The band arrived in plenty of time to set up and prepare for the evening. They were all very professional and played a wonderful set for my group. I would recommend them to others who are looking for a jazz quartet.

Our company held it's annual holiday party using for the second time one of the bands from Bialek's Music - Merlot Trio - an awesome three piece Jazz band. Not only was the music a wonderful variety with a mix of ``Holiday`` songs included in the set, they were timely, professional, proficient musicians and just an all around great group.
The service we received from the event team itself in getting the musician's contracted and just working with our requirements, was outstanding. Courteous and competent.
